Note: The characters are in order of appearance. Reading
the characters beyond your current place in the story will yield spoilers. You have
been warned.
Sailor Moon/Usagi: She is Tsukino Usagi, the
reincarnated Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom and the future Neo Queen
Serenity of Earth in the 30th century. In the present day she is Sailor Moon, a
superheroine who fights for love and justice. She was once the princess of the
Moon Kingdom, a civilization that ruled our Moon over a thousand years ago. It
was attacked and destroyed, but not before her mother/the Queen took the dead
bodies of her daughter, her daughter's consort, and her daughter's Sailor
Senshi and sent them to a future Earth in hopes that they'd live peacefully.
When evil arises, Usagi becomes Sailor Moon. She is often a klutzy crybaby and
quite obnoxious, but she loves her friends deeply and would sacrifice anything
to keep them safe, just as they would sacrifice their very lives for their
princess. Often she is a coward, but when it really matters she can be counted
on to come through. Her powers deal with love and light. She has a guardian cat
that talks named Luna, whom she often wishes would shut up. She also wields the
ginzuishou, a mystical gem that belonged to her mother. This gem uses the life
force of Sailor Moon and as long as it doesn't drain completely, seems to have
the power to do anything.
Sailor Mars/Rei: Hino Rei is a shrine-maiden at the Hikawa
Shrine. She was once the Princess of Mars and part of Princess Serenity's court
in the Moon Kingdom. She is perhaps the closest of Usagi's friends, and she and
Usagi fight constantly and tease each other, leaving Rei fuming and Usagi
crying. She is a tad arrogant and often snide, but she cares deeply for Usagi.
She is quite spiritual and consults the sacred fire in the shrine. Her powers
deal with fire.
Sailor Mercury/Ami: Mizuno Ami, the past Princess of Mercury and
part of Serenity's court, is the intellectual of the Sailor Senshi. She is the
least likely to fight of the group, if one discounts Usagi's cowardly nature.
She is analytical and willing to risk everything on the likelihood of her
calculations. She enjoys reading, swimming, and playing chess, and has her
Mercury Computer to help her pinpoint evil and find a weakness in their foe.
Her powers deal primarily with ice and secondarily with water.
Sailor Jupiter/Makoto: The Princess of Jupiter is a fearsome
warrior. She is feared by most due to her towering presence and willingness to
fight those who threaten her. She feels an especial gratitude towards Usagi,
one of the few willing to get close to her when she was a transfer student in
Usagi's school. She is an orphan who is always willing to fight. Physically
very strong, Makoto has a weakness towards cute young men that melts away her
harsh exterior in favor of the dewy-eyed adolescent she is underneath. She
loves to cook. Her powers deal primarily with electricity.
Sailor Venus/Minako: Before the Princess of Venus realized that
the other Senshi were alive as well, she fought crime in England under the name
Sailor V. Eventually, her guardian cat Artemis informed her that they were
alive and she was reunited with them. Minako is often 'out to lunch' and, like
Jupiter, is boy-crazy. She is very confident and willing to do what is
necessary to eradicate evil. She is a good friend to all and tries to keep
everyone happy and cheerful. Like all the Senshi, she is protective of her
princess and willing to give her own life to keep her safe. Her power is
directed towards pure energy.
Chibi-Usa: This pink-haired girl is a miniature version of Usagi.
She comes from the future, where her mother Neo Queen Serenity and father Neo
King Endymion rule the Earth. She is sent back in time when Crystal Tokyo (the
Earth capital city in the 30th century) falls under the occupation of the Black
Moon Family, during the Black Moon War. Usagi, although initially is irritated,
infuriated and teased by her, eventually realizes her connection to this
five-year-old and begins to love her as a mother should. Chibi-Usa is
constantly out to make Usagi's life miserable, but once in a while displays her
love for her mother.
Sailor Pluto/Setsuna/Mistique: Originally born in the time of
Ancient Greece, Mistique is the Princess of Pluto from that time. When she was
ten years old, she met Stella McCoy, a.k.a Pisces, and befriended her. Both
were being trained by the Greek gods at the time in preparation for their
eternal duties. In the case of Mistique, the eldest daughters of her family are
destined to guard the Gate of Time, through which one may access any time, in
any universe. After graduating Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, she
and Stella had a falling-out that resulted in hatred between the two. She is
currently still guarding the Gate of Time, but is in Tokyo assisting Sailor
Moon in her continual fight for love and justice. She is often manipulative and
secretive, and makes no secret of her hatred towards Pisces, Dusha, and Ares.
As Pluto, she carries a large staff shaped like a key, which opens the Time
Gate and is topped by the Garnet Orb, which enables her to attack with her
time-oriented powers.
Sailor Neptune/Michiru: The Princess of Neptune is a musical, dreamy
individual with sharp perceptions of reality. She and her partner, Sailor
Uranus, used to make a secret of their identities to the other Senshi, but have
since come to learn that they are bound to their princess. Neptune is dedicated
to her mission and loyal to her princess, but both she and Uranus tend to see
things in black and white. With Usagi's guidance and their adaptation to being
part of a team, they begin to see the gray areas. She, Uranus, Pluto and Saturn
make up the Outer Senshi, and generally draw that distinction between
themselves and the Inner Senshi. She tends to be secretive, but her elegant and
motherly nature deters most people from thinking ill of her. Her powers lay in
water, and she uses her Deep Aqua Mirror in her attacks.
Sailor Uranus/Haruka: The Uranian Princess is a brash young
hotshot whose interests lay mainly in racing cars and living on the edge of
life. With her close-cropped hair and masculine clothing, she is often mistaken
for a man and enjoys this deception immensely. She has a fun-loving, teasing,
almost brotherly attitude towards the younger, Inner Senshi that can
immediately be covered up by a demeanor of utmost seriousness. Her partner is
Michiru, and Michiru's motherly influence is perhaps the sole thing that can
keep Haruka's temper in check. Her powers deal with the Earth, and she uses her
Space Sword to attack.
Sailor Saturn/Hotaru: The most feared of all the Senshi is the
youngest of them all, with child-like wonder mixed with a keen understanding of
the world. Hotaru was often considered a freak by her classmates and was once
enslaved by an evil deity to become Mistress Nine. She has a strange power that
can heal injuries and is often weak and frail. She is a kind individual who is
both deeply hurt by those who shun her and at the same time very understanding
of their fears. As Saturn, she is the Senshi who has the power to destroy a
world, and in the Moon Kingdom she was kept in suspended animation, and her
awakening meant that the world was to be destroyed. Saturn's powers deal with
death and destruction, and she uses her Silence Glaive to attack.
Rubeus: He is the first of the Black Moon Family that the Sailor Senshi
of the present faced. He came back from the 30th century, seeking Chibi-Usa and
a mysterious gem, the ginzuishou, which Sailor Moon uses as a power source. He
is a power-hungry, arrogant man, and will use any means necessary to complete
his mission. He was killed with his spaceship incinerated, following an attack
by the Sailor Senshi.
The Uncanny Sisters-Cooan, Beruche, Petz, Calaveras: These sisters, each
controlling a power mirroring the Inner Senshi (excepting Sailor Moon) were
minions of Rubeus who carried out his evil plans. Each sister eventually saw the
wrong of what she was doing and was purged of evil by Sailor Moon and her
ginzuishou.
Dimando: The Prince of the Black Moon Family. He is on a quest for
vengeance against Neo Queen Serenity and Neo King Endymion for exiling his
people at the beginning of their rule. He, admittedly enough, is actually being
misguided by Wiseman, who has a different agenda. He also believes Sailor
Moon/Neo Queen Serenity to be the most beautiful creature he's ever laid eyes
on. He was killed by Wiseman.
Safiir: He is the brother of Dimando. Safiir, who was once in love with
Petz, begins to think that Wiseman may not be helping them at all and rebels.
Wiseman and Black Lady (Chibi-Usa turned against her parents and made evil)
killed Safiir when he came too close to the truth.
Esmeraude: The most annoying of the Black Moon Family and Rubeus's
successor. Her shrill, cackling laugh was the bane of all and she desired
Dimando and power above all else. When she struck a deal with Wiseman to be
Dimando's queen and her jealousy and greed turned her into a fearsome dragon,
she was killed by the Sailor Senshi while destroying Crystal Tokyo.
Kirk, James Tiberius: The always-intrepid Captain of the brave,
valiant crew of the USS Enterprise. Having been born in Iowa, the down-to-earth,
good vs. evil, humanitarian mentality of the youngest Captain in Starfleet
history not only manifests itself in the devotion he has towards both the
physical and mental well-being of his crew, but also in his willingness to
conveniently not get orders that may contradict his ideals, gut feelings, or
that are simply too politically correct and therefore detrimental to actual
lives. As Captain, Kirk knows that any lives lost because of his action or
inaction will be on his conscience, and the blood on his hands, which makes him
readier to countermand the orders of Command should the situation change and he
feel immediate, drastic actions must be taken or halted.
Spock: Half human only in physiology, the science officer a restraining
hand and objective view to the harrowing circumstances that the crew frequently
find themselves in. With an encyclopedic memory, Spock is much more then a
simple, accessible font of information. With his Vulcan training he has
achieved a state of being that many humans can only dream of, one free of, but
still understanding to, emotion, and for this reason he is highly respected.
Scott, Montgomery: The impulsive (no pun intended) Chief Engineer of the
Enterprise is much more then a crack-shot mechanic with one too many toys. The
quintessential image of his profession, Scotty also carries the honor of being
both a superior officer and a close friend of the lower officers. Understanding
of the rigorous institutions of order and discipline of the military, Scott
believes heavily in the stronger need of a working relationship rather then a
working dictatorship. This does not mean that there is a total lack of military
decorum in the Engineering department. With all of his laid-back joking and
love of a good drink with friends, Scott will trade any brilliant, yet
insubordinate assistant, for a poorer trained one, citing that the former will
be eager, or at least willing, to learn, while the later blindly thinks that he
or she knows everything.
Uhura, Nyota: Communications officer and feminine figure on the command
team. Her gentle kindness and sagely, motherly advice have been sought by many,
regardless of rank, gender, creed, or age. With the gracefulness and tenderness
that could only come from a woman, Uhura is capable of convincing even the most
tightlipped person, whether ashamed, estranged, or simply scared, into purging
their system through voicing their problems. With her natural knack for
communicating with the heart, she has become a centerpiece of ship morale and opening
courses of communication between the Enterprise and other species.
Sulu, Hikaru: Being both a physicist and helmsman by trade, the
dark-haired oriental of San Franciscan decent embodies the free spirited
dedication classic of his Western and Eastern smorgasbord of ideals drilled
into him by family and circumstance. As his innate sense of wonder has lead him
to the seemingly incompatible range of off-duty endeavors, including fencing,
botany, and 3-D chess, Sulu embraces the Vulcan credo of 'Infinite Diversity in
Infinite Combination' wholeheartedly, though with a decidedly emotional and
often times wryly humorous tint. From his ancestors, and honed by Starfleet
tradition and training, Sulu takes humble pride in his honor and fierce
commitment to any cause or person he deems worthy.
Chekov, Pavel Andreyevich: The young, impetuous navigator of the
Enterprise demonstrates many redeeming qualities yet to be tempered by age and
experience. Polar in nature, Chekov has trouble reining his emotions, both good
and bad, while in stressful situations. This is not to say that he is not able
to think clearly in a dire emergency. However, what he sees as the only
applicable course of action may not in fact be the only option. This
manifestation of stubbornness, perhaps even blindness, is both a gift and a
curse. The selfless sacrifice of his own life, at times, is gratuitous despite
the fact that it demonstrates his undying loyalty.
McCoy, Dr. Leonard H.: With the southern gentility of his youth flowing
as freely as mint juleps from the homely atmosphere of both his personality and
sickbay, Dr. McCoy adds an aura of lethargy from days gone by to the hectic
lives of those in space. An expert in his field, McCoy forcefully refuses to
understand the politics that he sees as detrimental to everyone but
politicians. The embodiment of humanitarian thought, no one intimidates the
Chief Medical Officer, whether they are dictator of an exploited world,
Starfleet Command, or the Captain himself. This self-indulgent brashness has
led to misunderstanding and standoffs, but the empathy of the Doctor's heart
eventually diffuses, if not rectifies, the situation.
Rand, Janice: The competent and efficient yeoman of Captain Kirk, the
often overshadowed woman of many talents makes up for a lack of recognition on
duty by being one of the most liked enlisted personnel on the ship. Her simple
ways and bright mind have made her a natural bridge between the
sometimes-overlooked 'backbone' of Starfleet, of which she is a part. Her
unofficial role as liaison to the Captain from the enlisted is one that she
covets and nurtures. For this role, and her natural charisma, she has the
admiration and respect of all members of the crew, both enlisted and officer.
Chapel, Christine: Calming by nature, the Head Nurse of the USS
Enterprise has a demeanor that calms and transcends any unsettling feelings
upon entering sickbay. Though she was at one time nurturing a career in
bioresearch, the allure of relieving suffering hands-on was enough for her to
sign on for a starship tour.
Tuxedo Kamen: In the past, he was Prince Endymion of Earth, consort of
Princess Serenity. In the future, he's Neo King Endymion, husband of Neo Queen
Serenity. In the present, he is Mamoru, boyfriend of Usagi and Tuxedo Kamen, a
masked, tuxedoed man whose sole purpose seems to be encouraging Sailor Moon and
saving her. He is loving and loyal, and plans on marrying Usagi someday soon.
He has no real powers, other than the ability to throw razor-sharp roses, give
encouraging speeches, and to whack evil with his cane.
Pisces/McCoy, Stella: Stella, the younger daughter of Leonard
McCoy, was a mere ten years old when she was kidnapped from her home and placed
in the care of the Greek gods. She is a child of destiny, a special being who is
destined to be in close quarters with immortals forever. She was a member of
the hierarchy in Crystal Tokyo, but due to corruption has moved out of that
dimension into the dimension she was born in. Her consort is Ares, and her best
friend is Dusha. Pisces is often secretive about who she is, and bears a deep
hatred towards Pluto for her role in the tragedies of her life. She is a
musician and artist, and has trouble dealing with her past and explosive
emotions. She has learned to place much of her hope in her own abilities and
wishes that she could get rid of her immortal duties. She has demonstrated that
she will do anything to accomplish her goals and will often risk everything for
those she loves.
Q: "Q" is the Federation designation for an
impudent, self-superior and sometimes malevolent being from the otherwise
mysterious Q Continuum. He made himself known to Pisces while she was in the
Moon Kingdom and despises Pluto. He enjoys teasing and tormenting, and as an
omnipotent and omnipresent being, enjoys this on a vast scale. He is to blame
for many of the problems that Pisces corrects as part of her duties.
Lomonosova, Dusha Aleksandrova: A definite child of her century, Dusha's
abilities to adapt, ignore, and endure circumstances are credited as the sole
factor of her continued survival. The adventurous young woman was swept,
unwittingly, into a chain of events that would stretch, and at times break, the
boundaries of her mind, body and soul. Despite her initial reluctance, Dusha
has continued as a rather cynical, unimpressed bystander to Pisces's antics
over the years. Often outclassed, the bright tenacity of the Russian is a
quality that allows her to stand upright in the face of overwhelming power and
odds.
Ares: The Greek god of war was once a bloodthirsty, war-causing
individual. Since then, he has become a compassionate being who has broken with
the corrupt ways of his office. Pisces is his lover, and has proven time and
again that he will do anything for her. He looks upon Dusha as a sister and
fellow conspirator against Pisces. He is kind-hearted and a musician, and
currently lives with Pisces on a ranch not too far from Starfleet Headquarters,
in San Francisco. He is looked upon with scorn by his mother Hera and many of
her associates for loving Pisces, whom they all hate with unparalleled passion.
Kyle, John: The easy-going lieutenant of
both helm and transporter, Mr. Kyle is fast to act on loyalty regardless of the
consequences, feeling that the reasons will justify the outcomes. A consequence
of his generally single-minded determination, his expertise at the transporter
controls are disputed by none on the ship.
Wiseman: This masked, cloaked man who
continually waved his skeletal hands over a mysterious crystal ball was the
chief advisor of Prince Dimando. For a long time this evil menace used the
vulnerable Black Moon Family to carry out his plan of destroying Earth. He is
evil, corrupt, and not above bewitching those who could assist his plan in some
way. He was destroyed by Sailor Moon's ginzuishou and Chibi-Usa's ginzuishou,
which actually belonged to her mother and was an object of Wiseman's desire.
M'Benga, Dr.: Under the rigorous deluge of
work that had become his norm after interning in a Vulcan ward, Dr. M’Benga is
cool under pressure, confident of his work and abilities to perform, even
though he has spent many years in the hectic, frightening world of starship
surgery. Despite his limited contact with the Captain, he has shown himself to
have a well-nurtured sense of bravery and compassion toward both friend and
foe.
Black, Sirius: Ex-husband of Pisces. She was
married to him and conceived a child with him prior to becoming Pisces. When
Zeus (see below) came to force her into her role as Pisces, the child within
her was killed and she was taken from Sirius. Since then, she has been reunited
with him and the marriage was annulled.
McCoy, Joanna: Oldest daughter of Leonard
McCoy and older sister of Pisces. Pisces hasn't seen her since prior to her
training on Mount Olympus.
McCoy, Jocelyn: Ex-wife of Leonard McCoy and
estranged mother of Pisces. Jocelyn is in Starfleet's Diplomatic Corps and has
since been remarried to Clay Treadway. Pisces hasn't seen her mother since she
was two.
Nivek: A malevolent being whose true intentions are
difficult to decipher, and a wily member of the “Q” Continuum, Nivek is a
steadfast believer in Darwinism. Seeing himself as the ultimate being, he
believes others should bow before him, and submit to his every whim, lest they
be trampled by his superiority. Accustomed to receiving whatever he desires
without question, humanity proves to be just as much of a bother to him as it
does to “Q” (see above).
Camison, Jonathan: American lieutenant on the
Eastern Front during World War III, Camison became an honorary member of the
struggling 122nd Russian/American Infantry division. Kind, but
hardened by circumstances, Camison struggles to keep his humanity, his life,
and the lives of his fellow men alive during the brutality of Earth’s worst
recorded war. He, however, does not survive.
Korrnithan, Dr.: Meatball-surgery specialist
of WWIII, Korrnithan is a medic stationed at a so-called Red Cross Aid Station
that, despite its life-saving job, is constantly under attack. Embittered by
the young lives he sees destroyed before him, the Doctor exploits every chance
to hand out a kind word to a soldier, knowing that everything is worse at the
front.
Jarrods, Andrew: Killed in action in the Battle
for Skavonskaya, Jarrods lost his life in the defense of a land he never really
knew, though for which he was more then willing to because of the binding
friendship of the motley division he was in. With a beautiful singing voice,
his somehow lyrical and calming melodies would soothe the others to sleep
despite a thunderous report of guns in the night.
Skrish, Lev: One of the few lucky members
of the 122nd whose life was spared, Skrish was vain in hoping that
he could maintain an emotional distance from those in his squad. As with all of
those lucky enough to be at the Skavonskaya Memorial dedication, he swore never
to forget the lives lost there, nor the debt that he owed them all for
sacrifices they made so that he might live.
Agrinkof, Mikhail Gustavovich: Pawn
of Fate like 37 million others, Agrinkof was killed in battle during WWIII.
Initially a conscientious objector, the young philosopher was catapulted into
the war when Petrograd was decimated by incendiary devices and his wife and
three children killed. Believing that he had received an answer to soul
searching questions about the increasingly justifiable war on the waning
Allied’s part, Agrinkof became an impromptu chaplain for the group while also
being a fearless man in battle.
Murry, Aaron: Another victim of the war, Murry
initially found his Asian decent under some scrutiny, despite his obviously
American last name. Willing to undergo a trial-by-fire, Murry quickly won the
loyalty of his comrades with his impeccable sense of humor and respect for
life. Within hours, his personality had left no shadows of doubt upon his
loyalty to his friends for which he sacrificed his life.
DaVega, Kelsea: A pseudonym of Pisces. Under
this name, she conducts any business she might have with Starfleet. Kirk
remembers Commander DaVega as being the first officer on the U.S.S. Farragut,
one of his first postings.
Zeus and the Olympian Gods: These
beings, who live atop Mount Olympus, are Pisces's "bosses" and direct
her activities in their name. Hera, Zeus's wife, does not like Pisces and does
not like her son, Ares, associating with her. Most of the other gods maintain
non-hostility towards Pisces and Ares.
Lilith: A disgruntled feminist with super-powers. She is
hated by Pluto and hates Nivek. Lilith is out to prove that women have no real
need for men. Lilith is manipulative, strong-minded, and independent, with a
penchant for showy displays to prove her points.
Shisein, Kimi: Pisces's role in Lilith's
game. Shisein is a CIA/KGB double agent. Shisein, once a promising gymnast, was
recruited in her senior year of high school by a CIA operative who was killed
in the field shortly after. Shisein, while undercover in the Soviet Union a
year later, got herself recruited by the KGB. Since then, she had carefully
orchestrated her life so that her roles are hard-pressed to be uncovered. She
serves as a double agent for purely monetary reasons.
'Boss'/General: Spock's role in Lilith's game.
He is the CIA director and Shisein's boss. He is a solid, silent man who
prefers not to give his agents detailed orders. He trusts them to carry out a
given mission in the ways that they see fit but does not hesitate to interfere.
Barnes, Ezekiel: McCoy's role in Lilith's game.
Barnes is a scientist that both Shisein and Keshigomu are after. He was the
departmental head of the physics department at Ole Miss University before being
a scientist for the government. He has since been out of the government's
employ for some years and is a freelance scientist.
MacMurray, Desmond: Scott's role in Lilith's game. MacMurray is a scientist, working with Barnes, that both Shisein and Keshigomu are after. A geophysist from the University of Edinburgh, he is currently working on sabbatical.
McAllister, Max: Ares's role in Lilith's game.
McAllister is a British secret agent with aspirations of world domination.
Grecian by nationality and heritage, Max was enraged when, despite the
assurances of France and Britain that Greece would not be attacked by the Nazis
and Fascists in WWII, they attacked and Greece was occupied by the Nazis. Since
then, he has become bent on putting himself in a position to take the Allied
countries down a peg. His last name is a false one, fabricated to hide his
Grecian heritage.
Tarronankoff, Mikhail: Chekov's role in Lilith's
game. A KGB agent, he is assigned to track down Mahalia Than. A quintessential
Party man, "Misha" doesn't hesitate to act in the best interests of
the Soviet Union. He is coolheaded under pressure and is quite intelligent.
Marina was his partner, but due to his ambition he betrayed her and got her
thrown out of the KGB. He is an ambitious man who is utterly loyal to his
motherland.
Marina: Dusha's role in Lilith's game. She is an ex-KGB
agent and ex-partner of Mikhail. Marina is infuriated by Mikhail's treasonous
acts against her and vows revenge. An intelligent woman who once thought she'd
be a submissive, dutiful wife, she has since been relegated to the lifestyle of
an impoverished Soviet citizen, doing menial work for the organization that
shunned her. Marina is an excellent shot, but her hotheaded attitude often
resulted in more blood than was necessary.
Than, Mahalia: Uhura's role in Lilith's game.
Mahalia is a femme fatale who will undertake missions for a price. A beautiful
woman, Mahalia knows she is attractive and uses it to her advantage. With Mata
Hari as her example, Mahalia is a shrewd weapon for any who care to pay for her
services. She often struggles to keep her feelings and her missions separate.
Keshigomu: Sulu's role in Lilith's game.
Keshigomu is after the scientists Barnes and MacMurray. A modern-day samurai,
Keshigomu's name reflects the last bit of humor for a disillusioned man.
Keshigomu was a young, ambitious, successful businessman in Hiroshima with a
wife and daughter when the atomic bomb was dropped. The daughter was killed,
but his wife survived. She, however, was hit by falling beams and has
completely lost her memory. Rather than jog her memory, Keshigomu became bitter
towards the American government and seeks a way to destroy them as they
destroyed him.
Chekov, Yuri Pavlovitch: The son of two
star-searching parents, Yuri was destined to be a child of the stars. Though
both of his parents took great strides not to pressure him into Starfleet, the
curiosity, bravery, and honesty that flowed through his veins due to his
ancestors were enough to propel him into the service. The strange combination
of a sheltered life attempted to be given to him by his parents, and the
unexpected adventures that both the child and the family find themselves
embroiled into, Yuri has a keen sense of both reality and altruism.
Torres, B'Elanna: Chief Engineer of the starship Voyager,
Torres possesses her fair share of both praiseworthy and questionable traits.
With firm convictions and a blatant disregard for authority decisive of those
in rebel movements, Torres was one of the Maquis more willing to underscore
even her own Commander when dire circumstances arose. Conveniently, however,
Friendship offered its tenuous and hesitant hand to her, which she just as
timidly accepted. With that link, she became an invaluable member of the crew.
Kim, Harry: Only the humblest of crewmen could
stand to be on a command crew for seven long years without promotion or
complaint. Kim, for all intents and purposes, has achieved this state of being,
though not without many trials-by-fire, from which he has, and has not,
survived. Openhearted though he may be, Kim rarely shows the fragility usually
associated with this characteristic. While he has been known to allow his
emotions to make his decisions for him, he has successfully contended with
questions of life, death, pain, glory, and humility with grace, determination,
and adaptability.
Paris, Thomas Eugene: Stubbornness belying a
sense of honor and loyalty, Tom Paris's ability to make mistakes and
consequently redeem himself are truly legendary. His ability to find
forgiveness even in the darkest of places stems from a combination of his
aforementioned stubbornness, and the willingness of others to forgive and
forget. Not vain enough to disavow responsibility for his actions, Paris uses
his charm, wit, and naturally boisterous attitude to blend in with the Voyager
crew.
Seven of Nine: A relatively new, and untrusted, member
of Voyager's established family, Seven of Nine's alien-like coldness and
aloofness remove her from the humans who are her brethren. However, this does
not mean that she does not strive to understand, and at times emulate, the
mannerisms, cares and concerns, and quirks of her long forgotten heritage. With
the gentle, but firm, guidance of the crew, she has begun a strenuous, but
worthwhile, struggle for humanity and understanding.
Carey, Joe: Initially suspicious of the
fiery replacement of B’Elanna Torres as chief engineer, a position that by all
rights should have been his, Carey has proven himself loyal to his captain’s
judgment by begrudgingly accepting Torres’s superiority. This uneasy alliance
has blossomed into an offbeat friendship between the once warring factions due
to close quarters and life-and-death situations. Though suspicious by nature,
Carey’s character is shown by his unwavering faithfulness and devotion to the
memory of his wife and children, which translates into extraordinary diligence
in his life on Voyager.
Chakotay: Once captain of a rebel Maquis
vessel, Chakotay has shown that, despite his idealistic differences with
Starfleet, he is willing to sacrifice for the greater good of not only his
crew, but of strangers, a very Starfleet-esque ideal. His mellow nature belies
a strong spirit that is often at odds with Janeway’s. As first officer he is
still in a leadership position, but under certain duress his
not-quite-Starfleet-regulation attitude can assert itself to the Captain,
reminding her that Chakotay is not just another submissive, blindly loyal
crewman.
Neelix: Native of the Delta Quadrant, Neelix has been
known to portray some antithesis characteristics to the Starfleet crew. Though
bound by Starfleet regulations and ideas on Voyager
he is not always aware of the politics behind actions and is therefore many
times able to remind the Captain that it is sometimes best to see situations in
black and white, uncluttered by politicians. As morale officer, he is a
soundboard for many crewmen, a must with the conspicuous absence of a counselor
on board.
Janeway, Kathryn: Unaware of the chain of events
that stranding her ship in the Delta Quadrant set off, Janeway has met each
challenge and turn of Fate with faith bolstered by the loyalty of her crew.
With no safety net of Starfleet diplomats to smooth ruffled feathers or cover
transgressions on her part, Janeway has learned to make both herself and her
ship as self-sufficient as possible. However, after grueling affairs the
comfort of her crew is a priceless commodity as she sees them cope, happily,
with circumstances independent of their various, checkered pasts.
Tuvok: Though having betrayed Chakotay’s crew as a
Federation spy, Tuvok’s loyalty to Captain Janeway has never been in question.
Despite initial misgivings about a Maquis-Starfleet alliance, he could not
discount the fact that, aboard Chakotay’s ship, he found most of its crew to be
headstrong, but respectable people. Often seen as an oasis of calm in the
stormy seas of the Delta Quadrant, there are many more then the Captain who
seek out Tuvok’s help in moments of despair, for which he is grateful to lend
his years of experience.
EMH: Much more then the sum of his parts, the EMH’s
continually expanding conscience brings with it a plethora of experiences and problems
for which he initially felt unprepared for. However, in accepting his
responsibilities as a sentient being, he has grown into nothing less then a
human who simply fails to be made of the same carbon that others are. Despite
his uncertainty over his fate should he return to Earth with the crew, he has
found a longing to reach the majestic planet for the sake of his friends and
fellow crewmen.
Selara, Dr.: The last hope for his diseased-ravaged
race, Selara is the Vidiian doctor assigned to tailor a cure for the Phage, a
disease that has crippled the Vidiian race. Pisces's children displayed a
remarkable resistance to disease and thus Selara plans to use their antibodies

McCoy, Tarek: Son of Pisces and Ares;
Altaira's twin brother. Tarek and his sister were born while Pisces and Chekov
were held captive by the Vidiian race. Tarek has incredible powers due to his
parentage and has worked diligently to control them. After growing up and
hearing about the exploits of Captain Kirk, Tarek joined Starfleet and is well
on his way towards a distinguished career. His fun-loving personality with a
penchant for practical jokes easily makes friends for him, but his lack of sensitivity
makes him an ill-equipped listener for them.
McCoy, Altaira: Daughter of Pisces and Ares;
Tarek's twin sister. Altaira is a quiet dreamer who prefers to sprawl
underneath a tree and stare at the sky, be it day or night. Happy on their
ranch, she is in tune with nature and its simple joys. She is quite comfortable
with her immortality and finds that there is plenty of time to do everything,
an attitude with contrasts starkly with her brother's. Altaira is following in
her family's footsteps as a pediatrician.
Eris: Goddess of Discord and Ares's sister. Is one of
the gods who despise Pisces. Eris's air-headed demeanor hides a mind that is
both manipulative and sharp. She is power-hungry and knows that an ally she can
trust in her plans is a definite asset. Her impetuousness is often held in
check by her partner in crime, Hippolyte.
Hippolyte: Amazon Queen and daughter of
Ares. Is one of the gods who despise Pisces. Hippolyte is a thinker and prefers
to think before she acts. As the Amazon Queen, she is a leader and is used to
commanding the attention of a group, expecting them to obey her. Her imperious
demeanor gives her a superior confidence.
