Hoping...

War is imminent.
Destruction on the brink.
Injustice will soon rule the world-
The hatred is already there.

Disease alone can conquer life
And hope can be lost in the blink of an eye.
Blood flows unchecked on the open ground.
Freedom is expensive.

I walk away from it all
Knowing that I cannot really escape.
I find myself surrounded by trees.
A forest around me.

People are suffering.
Things are dying.
And hope can be lost in the blink of an eye.
Where did the happiness go?

I try to escape.
I lose the path.
I can't find my way.
I stumble.

The world was not a perfect place
But now it's getting bad.
War could mean friends gone
Away - And return is a question.

I don't know if I can take it.
So I try to escape.
But I am lost.

Suddenly I turn around and
I see a cave.
A hole in solid rock.
With a light at the end.

I know that the cave holds the answers.
I can feel it.
I hear its music.
And I walk toward it.

What could the cave hold for me?
It could be terrible.
I could never return.
But I know that the answer is at the end.

I would do anything for the answers
To war and hate and injustice.
I would do anything for those victims whose names I don't know.
I would do anything.
So I take a step forward...
